Our client approached us with the aim of creating a blog that would scale as the site grew. Not only did the site need to look good automatically as more posts were added, but it had to be well structured and organised too. It also had to be able to cope with a rapidly growing number of visitors, so server speed and capacity were important.
One of the client’s main goals was to monetise the site through a combination of advertising and affiliate marketing. For this, it is important to rank well in search engines. Through a combination of efficient design (for super-fast page loading – a Google ranking marker) and other important on-site SEO techniques, we were able to create an ultra search-engine-friendly site that we knew would provide the foundations for high rankings.
The client came to us as an SEO novice. We were able to provide comprehensive advice and training in order to teach the client best practices for writing articles that would rank well. The client has taken up our ongoing SEO support service so that we can assist them every step of the way to achieve the rankings they need to earn money from their content. Within the first 2 months, the site was ranking in the top 20 for over 50 search terms, and in the number 1 spot for 3 of their most important articles, with over 10,000 visitors.
The client requested a clean, simple design, including a site logo. Our full branding service gave the site the look the client was after, without looking too basic or generic. They also requested a number of different post types that required various different layouts. The client wanted to concentrate on writing content, so we made it easy for them to simply upload the text and images, and fill in a few fields – our design takes care of the rest! No matter what kind of post they are writing, whether it is a long-form article, a how-to guide, a list post or a product comparison, the client can just input the information on the site’s back end and it displays perfectly on the front end every time, with minimal technical know-how from the client. Websites and blogs shouldn’t be complicated for clients to use and update, and our team made sure the process was kept simple without compromising functionality.
